Today Microsoft has announced that their TechEd Europe event will be held at Fira Barcelona from October 27th – 31th. Registration hasn’t opened yet, but will be in the spring. TechEd Europe is Microsoft’s premier technology conference for IT Professionals and Enterprise Developers, providing the technical education, product evaluation, and community resources to plan, architect, deploy, manage and secure a connected enterprise. Over at the Channel 9 Forums you can discuss everything about TechEd Europe.
Updated: Februari 4th, 2014 Earlier today (Oct, 1st 2013) Peter Egerton discovered that TechEd Europe will be held in Amsterdam next year. The venue where it will be held will probably the RAI again. At this time there are two events planned in the agenda of the RAI, TechEd Europe isn’t (yet) one of them. Let’s see when this will change. As long as the Country Drinks will be held somewhere in the city center, and not in the Amsterdam Arena again….
After a flight of around 2 hours we ( @BertWolters, @CoenV and myself) arrived at Madrid Airport around 9am. Since the convention center was the next Metro stop, we decided to register first and collect the TechEd Europe bag. After this short TechEd Experience we decided it was time to take a trip to our appartment. After a trip of about 45 minutes we arrived at the Metro station which was closest to our appartment.
Just like every year, on Wednesday it was time for the delegate party. This time no seperate Country Drinks, but one big (soccer) party in the Amsterdam Arena. I made a compilation video of this event which you can watch below. http://youtu.be/0bAlCJU9FTg
Today I arrived at TechEd Europe to attend the Windows 8 and Server 2012 beta exams. Between the two I was able to shoot a short video, so you (all my peers who are unable to attend) can all get an idea of what’s going on at the Center of IT! http://youtu.be/DcBrSwzKYzw Totdat I arrived at TechEd Europe to attend the Windows 8 and Server 2012 beta exams. This week I’ll be visiting TechEd Europe which is held in Amsterdam this year. Where possible, I’ll try to blog from the event. Maybe there also be some short video’s…but that just depends on the bandwidth at the RAI in Amsterdam. So…keep an eye on my blog the next couple of days… De komende week zal ik TechEd Europe bezoeken, wat dit jaar weer eens in Amsterdam gehouden wordt. Waar mogelijk zal ik proberen te bloggen vanaf het event.
Last week wasn’t only TechNet_Live week, but on Thursday it was time for the yearly GeekNight! During this evening you can attend some really geeky presentations. The demo-part of one of the most geeky presentations of the evening was for sure the one of Sander Berkouwer and Marien de Gelder (of the Dutch company OGD). Together they have written a cool application with which they can control Windows Server 2008 R2.
I’m sorry but since TechNet_Live is a Dutch event, the blogs about TechNet are in Dutch only. Please click Nederlands in the right pane to read the Dutch blog posts.
I’ll be visiting the Dutch TechNet_Live event tomorrow, which is held in the World Forum, the Hague (the Netherlands). If you’re also attending, you really should check out this TechDays Guide which show’s all the sessions, session times and their locations on a handy A4 format. If you won’t be able to attend the event. I’m going to blog live from the event (where possible), so keep an eye on my blog tomorrow!
